TB case management desk guide for private hospitals/clinics
Abstract
This document is intended to ensure the quality of community-based DOTS treatment for tuberculosis delivered through private sector hospitals/clinics in Pakistan, by providing guidance in how to deal with tuberculosis patients: identification of subjects, diagnosis, drug therapy, registration and education, managing directly observed treatment, managing household contacts, follow-up, retrieving patients who lose contact, managing treatment interruptions, ensuring quality, key problems to consider in patients with cough, and definitions.
