Surveillance of Tobacco Industry Marketing Strategies at Retail Outlets.

Abstract

In order to strengthen the current tobacco control laws, this research aimed to provide up-to-date country specific evidence on the advertising and promotional strategies used by the tobacco companies to increase visibility and sales at retail outlets, including the nature of retailer incentive and its impact on the use of product placement, signage and value added items at point of purchase.
