Summary report. ECACC project launch, 8 - 10 November, 2007, Georgetown, Grand Cayman

Abstract

Background information to the Enhancing Capacity for Adaptation to Climate Change in the Caribbean (ECACC) project is given, and possible activities for the project are outlined. They include:
i. Regional Climate Monitoring activities
ii. Climate Change Scenarios and Impact Studies as a means of providing information to policy makers
iii. Vulnerability Assessments
iv. Adaptation Strategies
v. National Climate Change Policies

Highlights of the discussions on monitoring activity, research and publication in the region, climate change scenarios, vulnerability assessments, and public education and outreach are presented.
