Starting plant health clinics in Nepal.

Abstract

Two pilot plant health clinics in Nepal were held in December 2008 in Lamjung District, one in Sundarbazar and one in Besishahar. The clinics were run by agriculturists and rural development staff who attended module 1 of the ‘how to become a plant doctor’ course run by the Global Plant Clinic (GPC) and supported by World Vision International Nepal (WVIN). The report shows that existing people and organisations in Nepal can provide farmers with the plant health services they deserve.
