Abstract

This study examines the relation between primary forest loss and landscape characteristics in the Ucayali region, Peru. 7 variables (rivers, elevation, annual precipitation, soil suitability for agriculture, population density, paved roads, and unpaved roads), were identified as potential deforestation drivers.
