Spaces for participation in health systems in rural Bangladesh: the experience of stakeholder community groups

Abstract

In 1998, as part of health sector reforms, the Bangladesh government initiated efforts to enhance community participation in the public health system. This chapter examines two experimental initiatives that sought to bring about more 'people-centred' public health provisioning. Owing to copyright restrictions, only the first 3 pages are attached, together with a link to the book at Zed Books.
