Abstract

This report looks at the strengths and weaknesses of the micro-hydro programme in Nepal in the light of the potential for this technology in Ethiopia and Uganda. There is a fast developing programme in Ethiopia, which seems to be following a similar pattern to that used in Nepal in the late 1970s, when the programme first started.
