Abstract

This policy brief discusses the Demand-Responsive Approach (DRA) to water development, which brings water users into the process of selecting, implementing and, ultimately financing the long term delivery of water services, and asks how DRA can be made to address broader poverty reduction concerns. The questions is discussed in relation to the DFID-funded SecureWater project.
