Abstract

The Policy will guide the sustainable development and management of rural roads and thereby enable rural road investments to maximise their developmental impacts. The policy document includes policy statements on key issues including rural road ownership, management responsibilities, financing road maintenance and construction, choice of technology, planning and prioritisation of maintenance works, and monitoring standards and specifications.
