Abstract

This sub-project increased the MPWT, NUoL and local consultant capacity in slope stability hazard and risk assessment. It trained a selected group of Laos practitioners. The outputs of this sub-project include training materials. This presentation deals with the use of living vegetation, either alone or in conjunction with civil engineering structures and non-living plant material, to reduce shallow-seated instability and erosion.
