Abstract

This project built upon the mapping work of Rural Transport Project 2 (RT2). It digitizes 36 Provincial Road maps not covered by RT2, and so completes the all of the provinces. It supported the introduction of GIS Road Nam for planning rural road investment and maintenance as part of the Social Economic Development Plan (2006-2010). The maps of each province are stored on a server and placed on the Internet. This report describes the process by which the Provincial Road Maps were digitized.
