Abstract

RiPPLE's Growth theme seeks to address the following issues:

  • How does investment in water supply and sanitation contribute to the government's wider objectives of economic growth and poverty reduction?
  • What are the implications for sector policy and programming?

Four case studies are are planned to study the concepts of water, livelihoods and growth, on the macro level and the micro level focusing on the East Harerge Zone of the Oromia Region.
