Abstract

This report begins with an examination of the ongoing activity of major international organisations in the aid effectiveness field. It then goes on to develop a list of major research themes, or ‘gaps’, in this field, provided in the separate literature review, in relation to the priorities expressed by these organisations on aid-effectiveness research. In conclusion, it sets out a possible vision concerning how such an organisation, if established, should operate.
