Research Consortium on Educational Outcomes and Poverty (RECOUP), 2005 - 2010. Inception Report.

Abstract

A first set of major outputs from this RPC comprise the achievement of better knowledge about, and research methods for investigating, the educational impacts on poverty in developing countries. These outputs will be delivered by the production of policy-relevant research reports, which will be published in a variety of different styles and formats. Accordingly, central tasks during the inception phase have been to develop plans for research which will deliver these outputs, to be conducted by staff from the seven institutions in the consortium, and to set up the administrative arrangements and processes whereby effective research, communication and capacity building can be conducted over the programme's term.
