Abstract

This document provides a tool to assist in the design of a rural energy service (or supply) company (RESCO) to provide access to energy for people in poor rural communities. It is intended as a detailed check list and as a step-by-step guide for those interested in setting up a sustainable operation supplying appropriate, affordable energy to rural communities.
