Regulatory impact assessment in Sri Lanka: the bridges that have to be crossed.

Abstract

This paper addresses some key issues that are affecting and will affect efficient and effective regulation in two of Sri Lanka's multi-sector agencies, namely for public utilities and telecom, and related communication sectors, with a view to assess the existence of regulatory impact assessment practices and to evaluate the scope for its development where required.
