RECOUP Working Paper No. 39. Insights from a Quantitative Survey in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Abstract

The objective of this report is to present the descriptive statistics emerging out of quantitative household data collected in two provinces in Pakistan on various indicators that include poverty and inequality; access to and quality of education acquired in terms of literacy and numeracy skills; employment and skills acquisition; health status particularly those of women and children; and disability. The report also presents the inter-regional (both rural-urban and inter-provincial) and gender related gaps in all these indicators. The linkage between these indicators is also explored via cross-tabulations.
