Abstract

This eight page document examines why second cropping is rare in India, and describes the constraints on rainfed rabi cropping identified by farmers. The following sections describe the implementation of a rainfed rabi cropping technology, useful for the cultivation of a short-duration crop, and the results this achieved in the field.
