Raichur district: Site for a study of aquaculture development in the semi-arid tropics.

Abstract

This working paper provides the contextual background to an analysis of the social, economic and technical feasibility of aquaculture options integrated within small-scale, farmer-managed irrigation systems in northern Karnataka, India. It is one of a series of 10 working papers produced as a resource for a stakeholder workshop, held in Coimbatore, 19-20 November, 1998.
