Q-Methodology for mapping stakeholder perceptions in participatory forest management.

Abstract

This report presents methodological issues and findings on an application of Q-methodology in the context of a larger research project examining stakeholder perceptions in participatory forestry in central India. The research project empirically tested the validity of an analytical framework that was developed to understand and describe stakeholder conflict in resource management. The project tested this framework in the context of participatory forestry programmes, focusing on Harda district in the state of Madhya Pradesh in central India.
