Abstract

This policy briefing is based on Working Paper No. 11. The author expresses disappointment at the results of privatisation of animal health care services since the 1990s and insists that government intervention is still required in this sector. The degree to which these services are alternatively privatised and governmentally run should be decided for individual cases, not as a blanket policy.
