Protocols for Improving the Proficiency of Material Testing Laboratories in Mozambique - Report on Workshop to Discuss Protocols on Sample Preparations and Testing for the First PTS Round

This report describes the project workshop and practical session held from 13th to 15th June 2017

Abstract

AfCAP is supporting the implementation of a pilot project for proficiency testing in selected laboratories in Mozambique for road research. The Proficiency Testing Scheme (PTS) will work towards determining a baseline for the precision limits for each specific test included in the project.

This report describes the project workshop and practical session held from 13th to 15th June 2017. The draft protocol for conducting the first round of the PTS pilot was discussed as well as assistance provided to ANE/LEM with the sampling and preparation of the sample splitting.

This project is funded by DFID under the Applied Research on Rural Roads and Transport Services through Community Access Programmes in Africa and Asia (AFCAP2 and AsCAP)
