Proceedings of a workshop on 'Information and decentralised natural resource management'.
Abstract
The objectives of this workshop were to inform important stakeholders in the district policy process of the DEAR Project, its approach, and the problems it has been experiencing with institutionalising information generation and the communication of information within district structures and institutions. It was also to initiate a district level discussion on the problems of information in the policy process, the information needs of the districts, and to address the problems of what national support structures are needed to strengthen the collection, management and use of information in the policy and planning process.
