Abstract

The UNC Water and Health Conference, 29th October to 2nd November 2012, provided a forum for sharing research regarding drinking water supply, sanitation, hygiene and water resources, with a strong public health emphasis. SHARE co-convened several side events, including one on equity. During this session, Oliver Cumming of the SHARE research consortium gave this presentation disparities in access to sanitation, health burdens associated with poor sanitation, and the impacts of sanitation improvement.
