Abstract

This document represents the final report of NRSP project R7957, \"Poverty dimensions of public governance and forest management in Ghana\", which aimed to investigate the various livelihood strategies of rural resource users and to scope out new institutional strategies for environmental management under adminstrative decentralisation. The report describes how alternative strategies were identified for developing and delivering appropriate participatory management approaches to benefit the poor.
