Abstract

This study is based on fieldwork and a desk review of literature focusing on Ethiopia, Kenya, Sudan and Uganda. It accomplished 2 major objectives: analyzing patterns in the regional interests in South Sudan before and during South Sudan crisis and subsequently examining the impact of divergent regional interests on the peacekeeping mission.
