Abstract

This report is part of the PPLPI-CALPI Government of Andhra Predesh (AP) initiative to improve livestock service delivery by analysing and coming to better understanding of the performance of the para-veterinarians in Andhra Pradesh with a view to enhancing their performance through restructuring of the training programme(s). The types of para-veterinary training available in AP are described, with summaries of training costs and certification levels. Conclusions are drawn about the relative successes of these programmes in supplying trained personnel for the animal health services.
