Abstract

An overview is given of the energy situation in Sri Lanka. Recent renewable energy and energy efficiency developments are outlined. Private sector involvement in electricity provision, including private-public sector partnerships, is outlined. Appendices list public-private partnership model types already tested, and government policy issues related to electrification and energy.
