Abstract

This work is part of a PhD dissertation at the Australian National University.

The aim of this chapter is to study the effect of nutrition on labour supply behaviour of males and females in rural India both theoretically and empirically. In this first part, the labour supply behaviour for males and females as individuals is modelled.
