Abstract

The project purpose was “Promotion of strategies to minimise impact of target pests in rice-based Land-Water interface cropping systems, for benefit of poor people”. The specific objective was participatory evaluation and promotion of legumes (the green manure Crotalaria ochrelucra or pigeon pea) in rotation with rice for control of Striga to improve rice productivity on Striga infested soils.
