Abstract
This document represents the final report of project R7056, 'Nutrient sourcing and soil organic matter dynamics in mixed-species fallows of fast-growing legume trees'. The report describes project activities and outputs, including the production of an extension leaflet with practical guidelines on soil fertility improvements through fallows, the quantification of sources of nutrient acquisition from fallow species, the evaluation of the complementarity of tree mixtures, the development of a simplified mixed species fallow model, and the evaluation, improvement and promotion of an existing mechanistic agroforestry model.
