Abstract

Two new monotypic genera, belonging to the subfamilies Termitinae and Nasutiterminae respectively, namely Trapellitermes gen. n. from the Guinean savanna of West Africa and Enetotermes gen. n. from the central African savanna are described, together with two new West African species, each belonging to a hitherto monotypic genus of Termitinae previously recorded from central Africa. Keys are provided to all the available castes.
