Abstract

This volume, published by the Royal Society of Chemistry and co-edited by MMV’s Tim Wells, presents a state-of-the-art review of drug discovery for neglected tropical diseases (NTDs). Around 8 million people die every year from these diseases, while drug discovery in this area is only just beginning to take on greater urgency and embrace the latest technologies. This book highlights best practice for ongoing drug discovery and aims to raise awareness about NTDs, so they do not remain ‘neglected’.
