Abstract

This study was carried out to examine the role played by the different stakeholders in the setting up of the Simhadri Thermal Power Project and also to find out the citizen's initiatives in the protection of their rights and privileges.

This report is organized in three sections. Section I provides the profile of Simhadri Thermal Power Project (STPP), activities, methodology, objectives and structured events. Section II focuses on profiles of affected villages, land holding and income, details of compensation and utilization, nature of employment, impact on health, environment and family and multi-party accountability. Section III interprets the finding and people's perception of it.
