Abstract

This manual proposes common standards of practice to facilitate the exchange, comparison and interaction of data on minerals production, reserves and occurrences, etc. Where the facilities for compilation of mineral statistics do not exist, the manual will provide a template for the establishment of practices that will be compatible with counterparts globally.

This manual is chiefly intended to assist those who have the task of organising, compiling and, probably simplifying for the purposes of national or international overview, the mass of technical and commercial data provided by mining and processing companies and enterprises.
