Meta-analysis of the effect of psychosocial interventions on social functioning in depression and schizophrenia in low- and middle-income countries

Abstract

This systematic review of psychosocial interventions in LMIC used to treat depression (13 trials from 5 countries) and schizophrenia (11 trials from 3 countries) provides evidence for improvements in social functioning in patients with either disorder, with strong evidence for effectiveness against schizophrenia.
