Mechanisms to Improve Energy Efficiency in Small Industries. Part Five: Conclusions
Abstract
The main objectives of project R7413 (Mechanisms to Improve Energy Efficiency in Small Industries) are to promote mechanisms to increase the adoption of energy efficient technologies and practices in the case of one small scale industry sector in India and Ghana. The sector chosen in India is the ceramic sector. The focus of the work has been in one large cluster of ceramic firms in Khurja, India.
This concluding part considers the following: reframing the issues: micro to macro and institutional arrangements; support institutions for the Khurja cluster; services for increased energy efficiency and recommendations.
