Local stakeholder criteria for successful IFM - A review of performance

Abstract

This review was conducted to triangulate IFM performance from a community perspective. It is important to build an understanding of the local perceived legitimacy of IFM institutions and impacts and in this regard the review set out to consult the range of local stakeholders with respect to \"successful management\" and \"suitable institutions\". The case studies were selected to represent the range of NGO, GO and local initiatives across a range of waterbody types.
