Abstract

The document represents the final report of project R7962, 'Linking soil fertility and improved cropping strategies to development interventions'. The report describes project activities and outputs, most notably the development and implementation of a community-based micro-credit scheme to enable poor farmers to access certain inputs, the production and dissemination of three pictorial decision support tools, and the implementation of a range of activities to spread knowledge of crop and soil fertility management options available to farmers. The project operated in 8 locations in western Kenya.
