Abstract

This presentation describes the Leishmaniasis East Africa Platform, set up by DNDi to: facilitate clinical testing and registration of new treatments for visceral leishmaniasis (VL) in Ethiopia, Kenya, Sudan and Uganda); evaluate, validate and register improved options that address regional needs for VL, and provide capacity strengthening for drug evaluation and clinical studies in the region. Activities include research, training, infrastructure improvement, and communication.
