Abstract

This response to a DEWPoint helpdesk enquiry draws on examples from other fragile states in its discussions on:

  1. provision of renewable, off-grid energy, including solar power, micro-hydro, and fuel-efficient stoves
  2. payment for ecosystem services
  3. climate resilient investments
  4. urban planning projects
  5. REDD+ (Reducing Emissions from Deforestation and Forest Degradation).

This report was produced by DEW Point, a Resource Centre for Environment, Water and Sanitation, that was funded by DFID and managed by a consortium of companies led by Harewelle International Limited.
