Learning for the Democratic Republic of Congo in best practices in climate, environment and energy investment in fragile states. Final Report, March 2011.

Abstract

This response to a DEWPoint helpdesk enquiry draws on examples from other fragile states in its discussions on: (1) provision of renewable, off-grid energy, including solar power, micro-hydro, and fuel-efficient stoves; (2) payment for ecosystem services; (3) climate resilient investments; (4) urban planning projects; (5) REDD+ (Reducing Emissions from Deforestation and Forest Degradation).

This report was produced by DEW Point, a Resource Centre for Environment, Water and Sanitation, that was funded by DFID and managed by a consortium of companies led by Harewelle International Limited.  The Resource Centre closed in 2012.
