Abstract

This editorial (in French) presents ASAQ, a fixed-dose combination of artesunate and amodiaquine launched in March 2007 by the Drugs for Neglected Diseases initiative (DNDi) and sanofi-aventis. The combination is intended for treating uncomplicated Plasmodium falciparum malaria in malaria-endemic countries in Africa.
