Abstract

This Knowledge Review was prepared in support of the Inception Report for the DFID funded project \"Water Demand Management in areas of groundwater over-exploitation\". Although an extensive literature review was carried out on the subject and issues surrounding it, only selected abstracts most relevant to the study have been presented in this report. The abstracts in the report cover the following subjects: water policy strategies, public private partnerships, sustainable livelihoods, and water demand management.
