Abstract

This project will investigate the suitability of Roller Compacted Concrete (RCC) for low volume road construction in Ghana and especially for the construction of pavements on rugged sections and steep slopes. An interim laboratory report has been drawn up to highlight how materials for Roller Compacted Concrete (RCC) will be sampled, tested and ultimately used to yield an RCC mix design for Ghana. The report also provides details on the approach used to select an appropriate location for the construction of the RCC experimental section.
