Improving Estimates of GHG Emission Factors from Livestock Production Systems on Smallholder Farms

Abstract

Poster summarizing a study by Pelster et al., into improving estimates of Green House Gas (GHG) emissions in smallholder livestock agriculture, Kenya. The study found that, contrary to international estimates, smallholder ruminant production in Kenya can be intensified significantly, without increasing the production of GHG. Poster presented at: \"Tropentag 2014 Conference on Bridging the Gap Between Increasing Knowledge and Decreasing Resources\", Prague, Czech Republic, September 17-19 2014.
