Abstract

GDNet is committed to addressing barriers facing southern researchers and creating an enabling environment for them to communicate their work better and more widely. This paper was commissioned by GDNet to explore gender-based barriers to the use of online knowledge services and help GDNet identify ways of improving the experience of female users. This paper forms part of GDNet’s work to reflect on its role as a knowledge broker in the South, and share its learning with others in the sector.
