Abstract

This issue contains articles on various aspects of mental health. The lead issue looks at the global problem of mental health care, and says that governments on average allocate less than one percent of their health expenditure to mental health. Other articles include: a look at the link between HIV/AIDS and mental health; globalisation and mental health; primary mental health care for older people; human rights issues; Prioritising mental health care in war-torn countries; and treating depression.
