Abstract

In several field trials, the use of pheromone-baited traps has effectively controlled eggplant fruit and shoot borer (EFSB, Leucinodes orbonalis) and minimized the need for toxic pesticides. The use of these traps was found to be more cost effective than the use of pesticides. This brochure is designed to illustrate how to use pheromone-baited traps for controlling EFSB in farmers' fields.
