Abstract

This final report to the Department for International Development (Globalisation and Poverty Programme) on Project R7861concerned with state institutional capacities for economic governance and their consequences for poverty reduction in the countries of Hungary, South Korea and Malaysia, covers: the project's background and objectives; methodology; findings; policy implications; outputs; and references. Appendix I analyses economic governance and poverty reduction in Hungary, South Korea and Malaysia; Appendix II lists research collaborators; and Appendix III lists institutions and interviews.
