Abstract

How is scientific knowledge translated into global policy guidelines? Syndromic management is a way of treating sexually-transmitted infections (STIs) in resource-poor settings. Researchers from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine chart the history of international policy on syndromic management since the 1970s.
